About this Specialty Coffee
Pedro Erazo initially planned on growing vegetables on his highly fertile plot with the aim of making a living to support his family, except this aim fell short as the income from his produce proved to be insufficient for a good living.
His land was particularly suited to grow coffee, and it was a quick decision for him. Coffee plants take a few years to begin fruiting, and it's not an easy path for a farmer to make the switch. Despite knowing this fact, he went ahead and planted coffee - but alongside his other fruit trees that include peaches and avocados resulting in a balanced ecosystem on his finca.
A miracle was born as his very first harvest made it to the highly particular specialty market. The money helped him not just get out of debt but also provided him and his family a better living. He later named his finca El Milagrito — the little miracle. Following that he acquired three other farms, including the one this batch was produced — Los Flores.
