About this Specialty Coffee

EL Burro estate, one of the southernmost coffee farms in Panama, parts of the estate are also inside the Baru Volcano National Park. Coffee in this farm grows starting from 1550 masl up to 1800 masl, with young volcanic soils, pristine forest, and a unique microclimate with different temperatures, winds, and precipitation than other farms of the region.

The unique world conditions at which Elida coffee grows can be listed as follows: Ultra high elevation, inside the well-protected and biodiverse Baru Volcano Park, rich volcanic soils, unique microclimate, low temperatures, microorganisms beneficial to coffee trees, virgin native loud rain forest surrounds the coffee trees, low temperature at nights (in the highest part in occasions below /50F) which elongates e production period of the tree and the ripening of the fruit which is a crucial attribute for development of the bean.

This variety is the Geisha bean. Geisha originates from the Ethiopian village of Gesha and is known for its sweetness and floral taste. Their trees produce small amounts of insanely aromatic coffee. Geisha coffee is routinely auctioned for high prices due to it’s flavor and prestige.
