About this Specialty Coffee

Founded in 2011 by our good friends Bruno and Débora Souza, Academia do Café is the go-to coffee academy and establishment in Brazil. Their farm, Fazenda Esperança provides excellent coffee whilst also helping the local community.

The beans used are Catuaí beans, these were initially released in 1972 by the Campinas Agronomic Institute in Brazil following decades of selective breeding. Known for being small and robust, yet having a high yield, they are as Brazilian as Carnaval and Samba.
