About this Specialty Coffee
Tuang Coffee are currently collaborating with Flores farmers in Indonesia. They prioritize coffee sustainability by sustaining supply, strengthening market demand and improving farmer livelihoods while conserving nature throughout the entire process.
They chose the Manggarai region to begin the experience, and it has been wonderful; we work side by side with the farmers to achieve a simple goal: to increase the value of coffee. Manggarai Estates rests upon the lush mountains in the municipal department of Flores, Indonesia. This top-rated coffee origin boasts 11 different altitudes each producing beans that tantalize the palate in unique ways, some of which remain unchallenged to this day.
Produced in the microlot Kamala Gulang, using Kartika variety producing trees were planted in2016 at around 1,600 MASL (meters above sea level). The finca is very low density per hectare of 1,800/Ha (in contrast to 5,000-10,000 planst/Ha in other parts of Indonesia) which promotes a larger growth of each branch of this varietal.
The strictest quality control standards are applied to each and every green bean. Berries are hand-picked and carefully inspected by expert pickers, and the team goes to great lengths to select only the finest yields from their lots for The Espresso Lab - Roastery.
