About this Specialty Coffee
This exquisite coffee is the king of the coffee world. Ninety Plus is a company that owns several coffee farm estates near the Barú volcano in Panama. These lush jungles benefit from the soil being superior due to the historical eruptions by the volcano. These estates contain waterfalls, wildlife, lush jungles, etc. It is the only place in the world where you can find their varieties of ethiopian heirloom beans being grown under a full forest canopy. The native Ngäbe-Buglé people are heavily involved in the estates, working in various fields such as production and tourism, while celebrating their culture and maintaining a connection to the land that is historically theirs.
Ninety Plus was the first to naturally process the gesha variety in Panama. Perci – short for perspective – is named for the sense of discovery and possibility with natural processing of coffee, which had its beginnings with game-changing events in 2007.
The Gesha variety originates in Ethiopia. These trees produce small amounts of insanely aromatic coffee. These were the coffee beans used by Ninety Plus to win 5 out of the 6 World Brewers Cup Championships. This truly is the pinnacle of coffee.
