About this Specialty Coffee
At The Espresso Lab, we are proud to present Altieri Coffee, a distinguished specialty coffee from the high-altitude farms of Boquete, Panama. Founded in 2005 by Eugene Altieri and now run by his family, Altieri has become known for producing award-winning Geisha, Typica, Catuai, and Caturra coffees that express the unique volcanic soils and microclimates of the eastern slopes of Volcán Barú.
Grown between 1,300 and 2,200 meters above sea level, these coffees are carefully tended, hand-picked, and processed to highlight clarity, complexity, and balance. Altieri’s lots have earned multiple placements in the Best of Panama competition, reflecting their excellence in cup quality and terroir expression.
Expect elegant profiles with bright acidity, refined sweetness, and layered fruit and floral notes - a true expression of Panama’s specialty coffee heritage.
