About this Specialty Coffee
This blend is a uniquely Indian one. Ekata coffee specializes in bringing and showcasing Indian speciality coffee to the world. Their focus is on helping small local farmers in India, they do this by partnering with them. Furthermore, they help them sell their coffee, provide them with equipment, conduct routine quality checks and developing farmer communities. By doing this, they can export quality Indian coffee to the World without facing the structural challenges farmers in India usually face.
The San Ramon variety originates from the Typica variety. It has a smaller yield than its ancestor, yet is very wind, disease and drought resistant. This makes up for the lack of yield, as it means the beans that are produced do survive the harsh and unstable weather of India.
